Welcome to CBC

The Catoctin Basketball Club is a youth basketball organization with the purpose of providing year-round basketball development and competition for boys and girls of all skill levels. CBC is registered with the IRS as a 501.c.3 non-profit organization. No board members are paid for their services. Our goal is to build a community of basketball through fun, character and skill.

SPRING 2022 BASKETBALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

This Spring, CBC will be offering programs for boys and girls in grades PreK-12, for all skill levels and schedules. Registration is now open and will close on Friday Jan 28th at noon.

 

TRAVEL

Open to boys and girls in grades 2-12. Our plan is to have at least one competitive travel team at each grade level from 2nd-12th grade for boys and girls. Most teams practice twice per week, some more. Interested players must register attend at least one tryout. If you have extensive basketball playing and/or coaching experience and are interested in becoming a travel coach please contact us at  .

T    The fee for the tryouts is $10 per player to cover the cost of insurance and gym space.

 

REC

Open to boys and girls in grades 2-12 who are not able to commit to a spring travel team or who are not yet ready for that level of play. The focus will be on small group and team skills. Practices will be held twice per week on weeknights. The REC program will be taught by professional basketball trainers. All REC players are encouraged to also register for our Skills Academy which focuses on individual skills. Players who wish to play REC ball do NOT need to attend a tryout.

 

SKILLS

Open to boys and girls in grades PreK-12. The focus is on individual skills training and is held on Sunday afternoon/early evenings. These are also run by professional basketball trainers. No tryout required.

 

The spring season will start on or about Monday March 14th and run through the end of the school year (approximately 12 weeks)

 

The approximate cost for the different spring season programs are:

·       TRAVEL - $300 for 2 workouts per week. Some teams may practice more which will increase that cost. Does NOT include tournament or uniform costs.

·       REC - $250 for 2 workouts per week.

·       SKILLS – $150 for 1 workout per week (Sundays)

·       REC and SKILLS – $300 for 2 weeknight workouts plus 1 workout on Sunday
